Starting work on my Portfolio

Posted on: 9 March 2010

In addition to this blog, I intended to use this domain name to host a portfolio of my work. To stand a chance of getting any sort of design job, a portfolio is necessary, and this is something I've been lacking. Before the big Macbook meltdown, I had started to put together some initials designs and actually started work on the website. However, I lost enthusiasm after that went down the drain. However, the work must restart!

After 2 weeks filing insurance claims as a temp job, I've been inspired to think a little bigger and have decided to apply for a couple of internships and having a portfolio behind me will definitely increase my chances of success. I have a passion for web design and, in addition to the 8-week placement I did in Southampton last year, I'd really like to build up some experience in the sector. I'm also very keen to return to Brighton in the near future.

On a completely unrelated note, I went for a jog this morning. I learnt just how unfit I am. There's another target!
