Kudos to National Rail for finally putting out a mobile version of their site. This site is indispensable when planning train journeys on-the-go, as I often end up doing. The desktop version of the site did the job - albeit cumbersomely, with a combination of squinting and pinching the screen to zoom in and out - but the mobile version is a lot more smart-phone friendly.

Why Creatives use Macs

People love to hate on Macs. A lot of 'PC' users have never used a Mac and stubbornly put their foot down because they "just don't get the hype". But the fact cannot be ignored, that in creative industries - print, graphic design and the web (to name but a few), Macs are always preferred.

Misleading yet suitabily effective advertising

Opening up my preferred bit torrent website for some routine TV programme downloading, I was presented with a rather provacative advert. Now this isn't the first time I've seen this particular ad, and it caught me attention the first time I saw it too. What I found amusing about it was what it was advertising. And hey, I'm not judging: if it works, it works!
